National Council of Housing Market Analysts (NCHMA)

NCHMA Logo NCHMA is a membership organization devoted to education, information and resource sharing and provides a forum for market analysts to interact with each other, state agencies (both directly and through the National Council of State Housing Agencies), the Affordable Housing Investors Council and other interested parties. NCHMA works to increase awareness of the benefits and value of properly conducted market analyses. Furthermore, NCHMA affords the opportunity for market analysts to discuss current issues, network and gain invaluable information.

National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA)

NCSHA Logo The national Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) created the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) as a nonprofit organization more than 30 years ago to coordinate and leverage their federal advocacy efforts for affordable housing. NCSHA's members include: the HFAs of every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the agencies that allocate the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit) in the two states where an HFA does not, and approximately 350 profit and nonprofit firms in the affordable housing field. NCSHA represents its members in Washington before Congress, the Administration and several federal agencies concerned with housing, including HUD and the Treasury, and with other advocates for affordable housing.

National Housing & Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA)

NHRA Logo NH&RA is a professional association of like-minded, successful and driven individuals who are involved in affordable housing, historic rehabilitation and New Markets Tax Credit development. NH&RA has provided a forum for developers since 1971 and, with 37 years experience, attracts the most sophisticated participants in affordable housing, historic rehabilitation and New Markets Tax Credit transactions. The group meets quarterly for serious discussions of significant issues affecting the business. The organization provides state-of-the-art information shared openly by leading developers, investors and professionals, and extraordinary opportunities for developing new contacts.

National Association of State and Local Equity Funds (NASLEF) - Corporate )

NASLEF Logo The National Association of State and Local Equity Funds (NASLEF) is a professional, nonprofit association formed in 1994 to promote the efficient management of state and local equity funds. Collectively through 2008, member funds have created or rehabilitated more than 97,800 units of affordable housing and have raised over $6.478 billion in equity capital for rental housing developments throughout the United States. NASLEF's mission is to promote a greater understanding of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and encourage the professional development of its member organizations.

Association of College and University Housing Officers –International (ACUHO-I)

ACUHO Logo ACUHO-I provides innovative, value-driven programs, services, research, and development as well as networking opportunities that help support and evolve the collegiate housing industry. Members include thousands of housing professionals from more than 900 colleges and universities in 22 different countries. Membership also includes more than 200 corporate members.

National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO)

NAHRO Logo NAHRO is the leading housing and community development advocate for the provision of adequate and affordable housing and strong, viable communities for all Americans—particularly those with low- and moderate-incomes. NAHRO members administer HUD programs such as Public Housing, Section 8, CDBG and HOME. Membership includes more than 19,000 individuals and associates and over 3,000 public housing and community development agencies. The NAHRO Manufacturers and Suppliers Council (MSC) is an organization of NAHRO agency members who supply goods and services to the low- and moderate-income housing and community development industry.

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)


RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is an international professional body with over 100,000 members. We represent everything professional and ethical in land, property and construction.

Their members are known as chartered surveyors and are recognised by the designation after their name: MRICS (Member), FRICS (Fellow) and AssocRics (Associate).

They regulate and promote the profession; maintain the highest educational and professional standards; protect clients and consumers via a strict code of ethics; and provide impartial advice, analysis and guidance.
